Mum and Dad bought a new digital camera with some of the airmiles they've saved up! They were going to use the miles to get them to Milan to come see me next year, but they've upped the required miles so what used to get them 3 tickets now gets them 2. And the other ticket for Elli would be $2900. Hmmm, no. Mum's found flights they can take that would be $2800 for 3 tickets. Anyways, it should be coming in 2-3 weeks. It takes video too! When I asked Dad at supper if it could record, Elliott looked at me and then groaned, "Oooh, come on! Lauren, you're just going to waste a perfectly good camera with your Il Divo stuff." *groans again* Sshhh! I didn't want it just for Il Divo! And that's assuming I'll even get to see them in France. Either way, I have a new camera for next year!
Today was a beautiful day and I spent an hour reading in the hammock. It was bliss. There was a nice breeze, the hammock is super comfy, I was reading an awesome book, and the bulldozer 30 feet behind me was building a new road. It wasn't too bad since the bulldozer guy would stop every so often to talk to the other workers. They're putting a subdivision behind my house :( It used to be an empty field straight back to the lake but now they put a retirement community/set of houses way on the bluff and now they're putting a new road right behind my back yard. I remember when my house was the first one in the neighbourhood. :(
In other news: My mum's a bit of a nut. My dad bought me more ice cream cones. My brother was having some sort of guitar hoe-down with one of his friends in his room thereby driving me insane. Dad also bought me Memoirs of a Geisha which I watched with my book copy clenched to my chest. I ♥ the Chairman. Peach frozen yogurt is guilt-free tastiness. I think I've dropped a pant size since being home. I work 11-8 tomorrow, bah humbug. Sandy and Tammy are Carlos fans with a side of Seb for Sandy. And maybe the bandstand's music system will work tomorrow so I can play my Il Divo and Joe Sample if I could find where I put that Joe Sample cd...
