I have screwed up a lot of stuff on LJ lately without realizing it, somehow (or maybe LJ has helped). If I've banned you from commenting, or if I've unfriended you right after you said something helpful in my LJ, or anything like that -- please don't hesitate to ask what's up. I may not know how it happened, but I'm happy to fix mistakes.

I've been using LJ a bit less lately. Some of that has to do with my thesis eating my life. Some of that has to do with other online outlets. I'm not sure how happy I am about that; I kind of like having my thoughts all collected in one place, and I like having taken the time to produce longer, more thoughtful content (for the most part) for LJ ( Read more... )

I reached 1000 tags today, and for some stupid reason of poor implementation and/or arbitrary cut-offs, LJ does not allow people to have more than 1000 tags. So, a while back, I announced I was going to make my LJ tags world-editable. And I thought I did -- I went to the LJ console and issued a command. All well and good, but when I actually viewed my entries, i couldn't see any way for anyone to change them. No menus, no links -- nuthin'. Some people seem confused about the benefits of the new LJ tag option, especially as compared to the memories system.
