now that i'm in indy...
yes i realize its been a while since i updated this thing. since i'm not going to really tell you everything i've done these past few weeks, i'll just highlight a few things.
1. moved to indianapolis with brian. the apartment has no furniture (except for the living room) so we're sleeping on air mattresses and sharing the one chair here. we did manage to piece together 2 things from ikea (tv stand and coffee table) and a kitchen cart.
2. last thurs night this dumbass woman ran a red light at an intersection i was driving thru and plowed into the side of my minivan, swinging it around 180 degrees and throwing the tail into the streetlight. both brian and i came out with some minor bumps and a little whiplash (which is all but gone now) but my car didn't fair so well. i'm gonna put up some pictures on my picturetrail website soon so you can see. thus i am stuck at the apartment until her insurance company comes and estimates the damage done on my car. if i don't like it, i'm def gonna sue her ass. bitch.
3. we bought a couch at ikea but it was too expensive with shipping and it would take a MONTH to get here!!! so we cancelled it and got a new one for like $400 less. turns out the "cancelling" takes like 50 phone calls and spending a good portion of your life on hold. ugh. but i think it got figured out eventually.
4. i got bored today, so i signed online and became an ordained minister. go to ulc.org if you're interested. it doesn't matter your religion (or if you're an atheist like me), you can get ordained to perform weddings, funerals, and the like. i even got to print out a nice little certificate! feel free to leave your thoughts about this.
and we have wireless internet!!! so i'll be online if you ever want to chat (AOL screenname Laurelmj). and since i have no job yet i'll probably be available. except for this weekend, we're going to brian's ex-roommie's wedding in new jersey so i'll be drunk and not here from thurs-sun :) weeeeeeee
