Let's not talk about the disaster that happened in the UK last week, and continues to happen, because it makes me want to rage-cry and I'm not even there.
(However, you want to see something awesome in response --
Samantha Bee on her show broke it down for us, and also enlisted famous Scottish Time Lord D Tennant to read tweets directed to Donald Trump. I think we can all agree this is a Good Thing. The link goes to an AV Club article which includes her long-form Brexit remarks and the shorter Trump-related section, in which another Time Lord also makes a cameo appearance.)
So let's talk about the universe sending me a message --
I have long wanted an item of Lilly Pulitzer clothing, because the colors are cheerful and anyway I might be contractually obligated to have one, considering where I live. Needless Markup, in their daily hey-how-you-doing-want-to-drop-some-cash emails (they're so thoughtful!), two days ago sent a link to a Lilly Pulitzer t-shirt dress that I immediately wanted like burning. But no! I said to myself. You have other financial commitments. Wait two days, and if it's still there, you can purchase.
It is now sold out. The universe has spoken.
[eats luncheon apple with measured, disappointed force]
Cheers, and may you find good messages in dark days.
