I seriously think I am going to stop doing premed. I have been thinking incredibly hard about this for a while now, and I really think that it's the right thing to do. I still want to work in healthcare, but I'm just not sure that I'm ready to devote years and years of my young adult life to constant work and stress. I need to have a life outside of my work, you know? Plus, I know that I am not nearly as competitive and grade-mongering as most of those other kids.
CPMA is having a panel next week on non-doctoral healthcare professions. I'm definitely going.
I may change my major to a BS in Psychology instead of a BA. I only did the BA program because I was taking all these tough science classes to begin with, so I thought I could slack off a little. Plus, the only real difference is that I'll have to take an extra stat class and one more semester of Latin (boo).
But whatever. I'll be talking to my mom and my NYU friends (whose opinions I trust so much) about all this soon.
That all being said, a good day today. I had to get a TB test done (because I'm working in a hospital over the summer) and it was crazy. I have this weird white patch thing under my skin now. I have to go get it checked again on Friday. Also, it's beautiful outside. I love love love the beginning of spring.
Also, I have an orgo test this monday, but I don't even care. My thoughts are that I don't much understand what we're doing right now, and we get to drop our lowest test grade. See what I mean? With such little motivation, I'm definitely not cut out for med school. ;)
Lastly, new episode of LOST tonight. It better be better than last week's, that's all I'm saying.
10 days until I'm in Florida for spring break!
