Because I'm Always Productive...
Okay, I really hate technology. I'm going to go back to when I was 6 and the internet was not in every household and I'm going to be blissfully happy playing games off of giant floppy discs! I really need to get some computer help.
Anyway, at least the lack of internet in the past 24 hours has given me more time to read Charles Dickens. I've officially finished the book and I found it depressing. Poor kid, he should have just been content being a blacksmith. But I digress. I still have to catch up on the rest of my anthro and borrow a copy of "The Cherry Orchard" from the library because it occurs to me that I really can't do my character analysis off of the incredibly short scene we have to work with. However, it's apparently a pretty dry play to read. Why can't they give us something interesting to read in university?!
On a completely different note, the Smitty's Christmas party is in ONE WEEK! I'm completely ecstatic! I started my secret santa shopping and I really hope she likes the stuff that I got her. I also went into Casbah today and everything in the store was 50% off, it was so hard! I made a promise to my mom that I wouldn't buy anything for myself before Christmas, with the exception of stuff I need; but damn, that was hard! I love that store! But on my quest in the Freak's Lunchbox, I found the PERFECT gift for Jason! I was soooo excited! Really, the Freak's Lunchbox was the only place that proved truly useful in my shopping today, I was pretty disappointed. If only I could pull some one-stop-shopping at the Freak's Lunchbox *sigh* because I hate having to do Christmas shopping in December.
Plus, tonight was the weirdest night of work I think I've ever encountered. We weren't insanely busy but yet, I didn't stop running. I kept running around in a frenzied state and yet, I felt that nothing was getting done and I was getting sooooo frustrated. Then we had this table of 14 elderly people and they had me running my ass off for them. I didn't give the seniors discount to any of them out of spite. Ugh! Honestly, when will this mad rush be over? So I'll never have to sell another gift certificate again! There's no way that many people truly want Smitty's gift certificates for Christmas. It disgusts me. Another thing I find absolutely disgusting and really is the biggest pet peeve out of the customers at my work:
Okay, on the debit machine at work, it prompts you to leave a tip. You can hit the okay button for yes and the correction button for now. What irks me are the people that go "what do I do if I've already left the tip on the table?" and I tell them to press the yellow button and they go "you mean the correction button?" Like I'm the one who's stupid or something. If they could read in the first place, they wouldn't be having this problem! Uggggggggggggh!!!
