damn the muses: i generally tend to feel that 'and you never REALLY know what happens' endings are a copout. either the writer didn't have the balls to write a potentially unpopular or strange ending, or they just didn't know what the fuck to do at all
azoftheoz: Gotta agree there
azoftheoz: it's just too.... fade to black
damn the muses: and i always call bullshit at the 'i decided to let the reader decide for themself what happened!' um. bullshit.
damn the muses: but then again, i've always said i wanted to write a huge, drawn out, epic series of novels, where after much angst and turmoil and right before the ultimate end battle of good and evil, the final chapter and book ends with 'and then rocks fell from the sky, and everyone died.' just to see what happens
azoftheoz: ROFLMAO
azoftheoz: you evil bitch
damn the muses: like
damn the muses: can you imagine if that happened in the last harry potter book?
damn the muses: or evil twilight?
damn the muses: the author probably could have formed an army and overthrown the government just by promising to write a better ending
azoftheoz: Rofl, yes, yes she would
damn the muses: I'm a woman with plans, Lyc.
azoftheoz: We'll ignore how unsatisfying Book 7 of HP was
damn the muses: Ultimate power isn't going to just fall on my doorstep.
