voted!
I voted! The fever went down* (and is still down, 5 hours after I took 600 mg of ibuprofen!) of course right before I got to the doctor's office. Its like when you get your car to the mechanic and it stops making the noise. But the doctor checked for mastitis (nope) and did tests for strep and flu, and everything was negative. So its probably not the flu (unless its a variety of flu they don't know about - ouch!), but it is some kind of evil virus. So I'm supposed to rest (hahaha!) and get plenty of fluids. I'm so tired right now because the last 2 nights were spend shivering under several blankets, trying to get warm, and yesterday was spent feeling hot and sweaty and hardly getting any rest (cause I've got kids!). I seriously did not feel good with a temp of 103.5. I think most people would agree.
We went to the vote place after the doctor, and lines were short. This morning's line must have been the people voting before work. I voted my conscience this year, rather than for the usual "lesser of two evils." I feel so much better doing that. Because I never really know which evil is lesser... And this way, I will know I wasn't responsible for putting the evil in the White House, whether or not it's the lesser. Let's face it, I don't agree with the Republicans or the Democrats, so why should I vote for those assholes? Fuck 'em all!
There was an issue of Soap Opera Digest at the doctor's office. It was across the room but I read the front. There was something about a MURDER, with a picture of Bo and Hope. Oh, if only they would kill them off! I know I'll never be so lucky... I haven't watched that show in forever, and last time there were all these new young characters I didn't know.
Tomorrow is parent-teacher conferences. o.O That makes me feel like such a parent!
