That Which Does Not Kill You

This morning was the toughest day to get out of bed at 4:45 a.m. It was cold. I was tired. I liked my warm bed, snuggled up to my honey. I willed myself out of bed, got dressed, said my goodbyes to Mr. Bear and Allie, got a bite to eat, and was out the door. I was running late. I pulled up to the darkness of the park, still rubbing the sleet out of my eyes. No one else was there.

Fortunately, a few days ago, one of the other women mentioned that if it rained, we would work out at the gym. I had only been there once and was not sure I could find my way to the gym. I am so unfamiliar with the area. I finally did find it, although I went west, instead of east, making me twenty minutes late.

We had a tough workout this morning. We were doing circuits, using the weight room. We used the kettle bells, the Bosu ball, reverse crunches on the slide board, plank position, leg extension machine, leg flexion machine, and more shoulder presses. Then, we did squats with kettle bells. Ouch. It was a good workout. Almost two weeks into boot camp, I am still in pain each and every day.

My worst enemies right now:

The Bosu Ball

Kettle Bells

The slideboard

(But, secretly, I LOVE IT!)
