Oh god, I love Silverstone ♥ I was so pleased that everyone - drivers, teams bosses, engineers - were singing its praises, because it's a great track and it would be such a shame to disappear from the calendar altogether.
Oh Jense. I'm just a little bit gutted that he didn't win his home GP, or even get on the podium, because I'm sure it would have meant so much to him and to everyone at Brawn (though Rubens was up there of course, so Brawn have got to pleased with that). But I would have loved to have seen Jense up there. A few extra points would have been nice too, of course, but 6th isn't too bad and every little helps.
The Red Bulls were untouchable today, that was an awesome effort all round from them. I'm so pleased Seb finally got a win on a dry track, he proved today that he can win when the weather is fair and not just take advantage of a few spots of rain. Mark Webber drove a great race too, he must be pleased with his result. It's so nice to see him in a reliable car; he has some of the worst luck of any driver I've seen, but he seems to have some good luck coming his way this season :)
Rubens also put in a good effort for third; he looked like he was having fun out there too, he said he loves this track and it showed. Nico and Felipe did well to get fourth and fifth respectively too. Nico is having such a solid season, this pleases me no end; it can't be long until he gets another podium, surely, he's been flirting with podium spots but never quite making it. And Felipe is certainly looking like the better Ferrari driver to me at the moment; much as I love Kimi, he's being shown up a little! It comes to something when fifth is a good result for a Ferrari, but today it was and Felipe did well.
Another guy who drove a great race was Kazuki Nakajima, it's a shame he couldn't get some points for it because he certainly deserved them today.
Overall, I thought it was a great race. I hope this isn't the last time we see Formula 1 at Silverstone.
