(no subject)
I'm finally in Lyon. These last two days have gone by like a blur. I can't even go through it all because there's so much I've done. Within 14 hours, I had been in three different countries. I never realized how handsome german men are. Too bad I don't know ANY german though. It would've really helped to be able to say "excuse me" while in the airport.
I've already been in two apartments now. I got in yesterday, moved into my original apartment (which was pretty far from the center of the city and really far from the school) and today we went to the international office to talk to them about random stuff and we just asked if they had an other apartment openings. Luckily they had one in the apartment I had originally requested so we went over to get the key and it is awesome. It's right near the city center, right next one of the rivers, really close to the school. My roommate is so sweet and is so excited to be here which makes me even more excited about being here. It's just a much better living situation.
I had almost forgotten how great the food is. And how cheap the wine is. And how expensive the cigarettes are. You can get a bottle of vin at the store for less money than you can spend on a bottle of water at the same store.
Classes start next week so this week will consist of running some errands (opening a bank account, getting a cell phone, buying apartment things), walking around the city, and possibly going to a castle 30 minutes outside of Lyon.

When I took the metro last night, there were these incredibly loud, obnoxious guys yelling nonstop in the car. It was so funny and people kept giving them evil looks. I kept trying to get a video with them yelling in it but everytime I did, they would kinda stop for a little bit. But here's one with a nice little example. It's only a video of the window because I didn't want them to see me recording them although they probably so drunk they probably wouldn't have even noticed.
