Jay and I never doubted the rumors about the economy being bad. We knew it. We just got to know it on a more personal level when we sat down with someone at our bank to talk about getting a loan for our addition. Jay and I go in with high hopes: we both have good jobs, perfect credit, and plenty in savings, and have never been late on any payments. Shouldn't be a problem, right? Well...no. It's a big problem. We're finding out that since the banks and some people made some poor choices, causing some banks to go under, they now have to get real strict with EVERYONE...regardless. We'll still get it, it's just going to take more than just sitting down, pushing out some numbers, and leaving feeling happy. We have to wait. And wait. And someone has to come appraise our home. And then we wait. Jay was not happy when we left!
It's just a loop hole that we will pass. If anything, it opened our eyes to the severity of the economy.
In other news, Jay and I were teasing Ethan because he constantly askes the same questions over and over again. So we were giving him a dose of his own medicine. He finally said "I NEED TO FIND ME A FAMILY THAT DOESN'T TEASE!"
Then later, Jay and Ethan were waiting in the car while I ran in to get slurpees. A car next to Ethan's side saw EThan sitting in his carsear and said howdy to him. Ethan turned to Jay and said "Daddy? What does howdy mean? Is that spanish?"
Cute baby.
