Got a shock today when I went to the Countrylink office and checked on fares to Lismore. The quotes for a return trip to Lismore are:

Pension:
       1st Class - $42.54
       Economy   $30.80

Concession
       1st Class - $141.80
       Economy   $102.60

I'd be travelling on the pension rate, and Carol on the Concession rate as she's from interstate ( Read more... )

It's been a really long day today. Some days I just can't cope and hack stuff, but this wasn't one of those.
