I did a "library run" yesterday where I returned a good twenty items I had out from two local library systems. The previous day (Sunday) I never got out from home because I got distracted by the pups - they'd started to jump the front gate and follow me up the road - and missed the buses I needed to catch to get to the Rainbow Visions Picnic. I seem to have lost track of my library loans, and have several magazines and a DVD outstanding from different libraries! Bugger.

Some days I do what I call a "Library Run" in which the priority is returning borrowing stuff at libraries. Yes, it's possible to flip though the online catalogues (and I do), but nothing beets actually going to a library and browsing, because serendipity comes into play. My plan was to go to Spears Point Library to work on my proposal.

As it was, I didn't get away until 10am. I arrived at Glendale just in time to catch a 363 out again. But when I got there I decided to stay on the bus and go to Belmont library instead. And when I got to Belmont I decided to go to Swansea instead and use the library there!

curi_oz_wolf wolf sent me some links for the application for that library job. One thing led to another and, gasp - there's a Murdock University Library on Second life, based on the one in Perth, Western Australia. I wonder, is there a virtual Grant Stone as well?!
