Need to ease off using Facebook for a while. Every so often it gets to me, and that's no good. So, I've set up an RSS feed from this (Dreamwidth) account that will post to my Facebook account. That means I can still comment on things, but I'll be using Dreamwidth/Live Journal, which I'm much more comfortable with.

Damn it, I just un-friended someone and blocked them, because their posts here on Facebook (which were 99% athiast / political / silly crap shares) just kept "triggering" me. In my attempts to cope with this situation I added filter after filter via SOCIAL FIXER so I wouldn't see it.

Have been upset this morning. I accepted that I am addicted to facebook, like someone addicted to poker machines. The amount you get back is nowhere near the effort you put in. Rather, it's just barely frequent enough to keep playing the game. Too often, Facebook makes me feel bad about myself. The trouble is that on FB I get drawn into all ( Read more... )

How do you know you're addicted to something? Well one way is that when you stop, you can't stop thinking about it.

I have discovered that by reverting my Live Journal posts to public, that I can make three posts in one go: to Dreamwidth, LiveJournal and Facebook.
