Slash and Burn
Am using Malwarebytes to spot bits of DIRECTRDR. Avast is actually clobbering bits and pieces of it as well. I have an appointment elsewhere at 10am, so I'm going to have to leave them to it while out. In the meantime I'm recovering most of my documents (phew!). I think though that once that's done I will backup my application settings and reinstall Windows from scratch.
Not bad, over a year for reinstalls.
