More on Jeb
Gasp - slept until about 2pm. Didn't get much done at all. Just after 4pm I went over the road and mentioned that Jeb had kept me up until 3am that morning. The husband (boyfriend?) agreed with me that it wasn't a good thing, and said that he got out when he was shifting the car around the back, and they hadn't been able to find him. I suggested that they keep him on a lead while they do that.
Later today, at about 8pm, Jeb turns up at my gate and starts yapping! I let him in for a short play with Pegasus, and then grabbed him and walk over to the house. The front door was open and the fly wire door not quite closed. I knocked on the door frame loudly, and when the boyfriend/husband came gave him the dog, and said that it wasn't acceptable for Jeb to do a repeat of last night. That if he turns up at all tonight again, then I will return him, and knocking on the door loudly until someone wakes up and answers.
I hope he got the message. I like Jeb, but I need my sleep. I get the impression that it's his wife/girlfriend's son's dog, and he doesn't care for it much. That may be, but he still needs to be responsible for it.
Jenny phoned a short while later and we talked through the possibilities. Hopefully I will get to sleep tonight. I have a Wednesday deadline for my uni work and today was just wasted.
