Urgh - that little terrier Jeb hung around until after 3am, yapping and barking near my front gate. I let him in just to make it stop and then (because Pegasus wouldn't let him in the house - fair enough) he started whining again. I put him outside and he did return but I must have fallen asleep eventually. Woke up just before 8am. No yapping or ( Read more... )

There are people in this street who will pinch a dog and then dump it at a distant location. Then, either a) the owner has to pay a fine when it's recovered; b) it's not recovered and put down, or c) the owner ends up in court.

Things have changed since mandatory microchipping of pets, as it makes identifying the owener much easier. However, before that happened, my dog Pegasus was stolen and dumped 20 km away. I had a witness to this, but they wouldn't come forward in court.
