Ms. Seabrook-

Are you sure this didn't happen on Monday? It sure sounded like a Monday. I hope Bella is OK- Has she been sick before?

Here in Australia I live in your future. Don't believe me? Check out this equivalent.

Ms. Seabrook-

You live in my future? Could you tell me how I come out in my bid for world supremacy? ;-)

Of course I believe you.

I meant to ask you- In this country scam artists often sell public landmarks like the Brooklyn Bridge to gullible turistas-

Do the hucksters in Australia often sell Ayers Rock to Yankees? If so, what's the going price?

If they do I've never heard of it. But, such scams really rely on the buyer to be too embarrassed to admit what they got suckered into, so I'm not surprised. I understand that the original guy who sold the Eiffel Tower did it not once, but several times!

Ms. Seabrook-

You don't know Americans- If an American got suckered into buying Uluru, the first thing the authorities would notice was that some Yank was trying to get it shipped to Texas.

Oh but I lived with one for almost three years. She drove me crazy but I did respect her ethnic roots (and she did introduce me to proper bagels)!

Ms. Seabrook-

How in thunder did you wind up living with an American? Was it a hostage situation? ;-)

Yes, real bagels are actually food, unlike those dry, crunchy, anaemic doughnut things one can buy in the markets. The main trouble with bagels is they're a bear to make. If it wasn't for that I'd live on 'em.

If I understand global weather patterns correctly, it's winter where you live, yes? What's winter like there? Do you get snow?

I've discovered that automobiles can smell money. If ever I get a bit ahead, my car immediately throws a shoe, or goes lame or summat, which seems always to cost 110% of whatever I can spare. If we could somehow use the car's money sensors foe vehicle avoidance, there'd never be another automobile collision.

Snow only appears in small areas in the great dividing range, not across the continent. Places like Queensland and the Northern Territory never get snow, but they do get plenty of cyclones.

For a short time I used to make bagels myself - very LONG process.
