I had an
oximeter hooked up to me last night as I slept. It came outat least once, but for the most part I slept with it in. I was supposed to get it back by 11am this morning.
However, there was a last minute panic when I left (Bella the pup was looking sick and I decided to text Michelle about it) and I missed the 10:10am bus! That would have taken me (with one change to within two blocks of the Doctor's surgery in Charlestown to return it. Then, the next bus (which had no direct connection) was 5 minutes late and I arrived at Glendale exchange just as the 339 (which would have gotten me to Charlestown) was just pulling out. Eventually I got there 90 minutes late by going to John Hunter on one bus and then to Charlestown on the 100 busGah - what a runaround. When I got there I discovered that it wasn't critical and I could have gotten it back any time before 4:30pm. I was really hungry and it just so happened that with a bit of running, I caught the same 100 bus to the uni.
Had a roast dinner at Bar in the Hill and joined in with some friends at playing Trivia. After this post I shall probably go straight home and see how Bella is. She looked like she'd been throwing up when I left. Dopesn';t help either that Hallie is just going into heat.
Maybe this makes up for yesterday when I was in Charlestown after picking up the oximeter, and had time to burn before catscan got there via The Junction. I found a copy of The Artist's Way Workbook in a bookshop I hadbn't been to for almost 4 years. Just what I needed (though I ought to use it now).
Time to go home.
