As they say, all good things must come to an end.

finishing up on milano

we actually spent another day shopping but managed to squeak in the duomo and this huge park. we did not go to the last supper though so i must return to milano as well as florence. i didnt wind up buying too much because most of the stuff where we were was actually for men. so i bought my dad great ties, and ariel got a really nice hat at gucci (not the tacky ones, a nice one-under my approval) we then headed back for a quick shower before we saw a beautiful opera at the famous teatro scala. it was the most incredible place i have ever seen. we got our own booth rite against the stage and it was so wonderful. after that there was a concert with this incredible italian singer who was hot as hell!

our last day we just packed up and headed out to verona. we arrived pretty early in the day and were able to see juliets balcony, and the cute little town. we were actually able to climb the balcony and they had a whole museum set up-which is kind of werid considering its not confirmed that juliet actually exhisted! after that we actually saw another opera in this huge colliseum which was so sick. it was aida which was so freaken long ariel started tickling me to entertain himself and then i laughed so loud we got shushed

the next day we basically packed everything up and began our very long travel day. we drove to venice, then dropped off the rental car, then our flight was delayed 2 hrs, there was a bomb scare, then it was delayed in the air b/c of the horrible weather. we finally landed in atlanta with 1 hr until the connecting and finally arrived in jfk to no luggage! thats right luggage was lost. lucky all the new expensive stuff i carried on but a lot of laundry is somewhere in the world and unfortuantely my meds so i had to make an emergency run to cvs. by the time we got home was 5am and we jus passed out. we woke up around 11 to get sort of back on schedule and i've basically spent the whole day with my family.

so thast its...the trip is over and if i may have a slight shpeel of refelction

europe is an incredible and beautiful place with a view on life to be envied. they work to live and not live to work. they believe in travel, siesta, love making, and wine drinking above any other thing in life. the people were different and incredible in every country. although there were language barriers they were all so kind and willing to help, which i feel we are not in the us. we are so intolerant if someone steps on our land and does not know english. another thing im taking away is the fact that life is too short to not see this world. it so big and theres so much more than what is within our 4 corners. even living in ny for most of my life i still saw and learned new things in europe i could have never imagine. i may have come back with 0 dollars and a 500 credit card bill but guess wut? money can be earned. im going to go back to work in 2 weeks and ill have a grand before school starts. money was meant to spent and poeple should not consume there lives wtih making it w/o enjoying the time to spend it. also, i ate everything and anything and enjoyed it all, the body image in europe is so different, and its a shame that americans hate themselves. and the funny thing is i came back 5 pounds the lighter and a lot of crepes the heavier! in conclusion i had the time of my life and wouldnt have given up a moment for anything in the world!! in fact, im just dreaming of the next time i can step into a european airport and finish up the continent!!

also; live journal was such a great idea-thanks again meredith!!!!
but im done with the updates for a while...until my next trip perhaps!

auvoir, adios, ciao, cheers, etc.
