florence and cinque terra!
florence day 1 was actually very strange. instead of running to the shops we went outlet shopping...but not ordinary outlet shoppin DESIGNER OUTLET SHOPPING! o thats rite fendi, gucci, burberry, la perla, armani...they have outlets and i enjoy!!!
we spent hours there but i limited myself to a new pair of fendi shades (40 euro!!!!!) and a new pair of fendi heels (25 euro)!!!!! most were on sale of the already reduce outlet price and this stuff was not picked over damaged goods...in fact whatever i picked out they said o let me get you a fresh one. i then got a leather burberry belt for my dad and step dad (15 euro each!!!!!) i picked out tons for ariel and ariels dad got tons of stuff as well as his mom. it was nuts!! if your ever in florece go to "THE MALL" you'll never want to leave. in fact we met some english woman online for the uffizi and they said they travel to florence every year to shop!!!!!
well after that we didnt have much time for sites so we went to ponte vecchio (the old bridge) and ariels mom went jewelry shopping. i got a little silver trinket and had gelato with his cousins lol. after that we relaxed and bid fairwell to ariels mom (she had a huge business meeting in chicago) and his cousin (had to take a test for teaching) and then me , ariel, and his other cuz hit the town for one of the most amazing night clubs i have ever seen! its outdoors and has 5 different dance floors. it was beautiful but expensive as hell so we didnt drink too much.
day 2-we actually saw some sites for a change! we went to the david line first but it was too long so we headed out to the uffizi museum which was spectacular. i saw the birth of venus and spring by boticceli and they had a great leo da vinci exhibit. afer that we headed out to david again but it was jus too long so eventhough thats wut i really wanted to do and tried to do everyday it never happened =(...just another reason to go to florence (and have an excuse to shop!!!) we then relaxed in the hotel and gota good nights sleep.
pisa/cinque terra- we woke up and headed out to pisa to see the leaning tower which was great. after that we headed to this incredible special place called cinque terra. it means 5 towns and consists of 5 small beautiful fishing towns on the moutnains over the water. the pictures dont do justice to the beauty. we checked into our quaint hotel and then began our journey. see you hike in cinque terra and we made it through to 3 towns before ariels father was a little too tired. we then took the train to the 4th and had a little dinner on the water.
we came back and passed out from the hiking!!
cinque terra day 2- we woke up and headed out to the beach in the last town which was so beautiful. we explored more of the town and we got cute beach bags to support the area. we headed back and began our drive to milan!
milan night 1- we basically arrived and worked out in the gym and had dinner in the center of town. tomorow we will do all the sites including the last supper which im really excited to see...and some more shopping..o lord help me when i get my credit card bill this month!!!
