obligatory end of summer post.

i have not been feeling the livejournal thing lately. or any internet thing for that matter. i've been reading a lot.

the middle of the summer was kind of a frustrating time for me, for various reasons. i was just tired, and work was really getting on my nerves. among other things. but things have taken a bright turn in the past week. certain issues have been resolved, and the past few days have just been really carefree and content. for the most part. that's how life should be.

things are just good. i'm taking prerequisite classes for nursing starting in a week and a half. i can't wait to take anatomy, which i've always wanted to take and never gotten a chance. i wanna dissect things. i'm also taking guitar lessons, another thing i've always wanted to do. i'm wicked excited that i'm finally doing, intead of just talking about doing. also, nate got into classes at ccri, which makes me happy cause we both have things figured out for now which means less stress and we can enjoy ourselves :)

fun things i've done this summer:
-laid on the beach in narragansett for a week with the family. so freaking relaxing. got to read and rest and tan and swim and it was the first vacation i'd had in forever so it really rejuvenated me.
-six flags with nate eric jackie and kate. good time, it was the first time i'd been in the water park and it was by far my favorite chunk of the day.
-boston museum of science with eric and nate to see the plastination exhibit. freakin amazing. unfortunately, it was the very first thing we saw upon arriving there, which made the remainder of the museum shy in comparison. good time though.
-dave matthews band concert with shelbs! got quite intoxicated before the show, was basically sober by the time it started. good, but not the best set list. played lots of slower stuff. i'd have liked to see both hartford shows. still fun though!
-camping with nate and his friends. nice campground in charlestown. got to swim and kayak and chill by the fire. and sleep in the world's smallest tent. i mean small as in nate and i couldnt move nor could we stretch to our full lengths. lol. ate nothing but burgers. fun stuff!
-great party here a couple weekends ago. nuff said.

so it's been a pretty fun summer. sadly, fun = spending money, so i didn't save up a ton, but i have enough to get by, and got to do lots of good stuff in the meantime.

nate and i celebrated our one year as well...still can't believe it's been that long cause it feels like not even close. i am so happy...

right now i'm reading Choke by Chuck Palahniuk. what a great writer, can't get enough. so i'm gonna go crawl into bed now and read about a crazy sex addict who goes from restaurant to restaurant intentionally choking on hunks of steak so people will save him and make him their charity case.

good night!
