Last night turned out to be a blast. Here I am thinking I'm ust going to play my guitar, when the next thing I know, there's an auzzie telling me that there's a soccer game going on tonight between croatia and turkey. the stadium is only about two blocks away, and tickets were about $2.50, how could I refuse

I totally understand what you are talking about about not knowing people. When I moved out to LA I felt like I was going nuts. the only people I knew or recognized were my co workers. That doesn't even count. I remember going to the store and recognizing someone from my work. I was so excited! I didn't know them well enough to say hi.. but still! I mean.. not even recognizing the people at the grocery store is kinda wierd.

hang in there though.. just remember how many people you are meeting and how many people you will come home to and recognize there.

Thanks, he called up my hostel and talked to me this morning. I'm gonna meet him at around 4 this evening (6:00 AM for you westerners).
