It was a later time today, at the new club. Today I hit the first real wall of not wanting to go. A little inspiration from the PNBWife helped, though! Finally I got out, and as I got on the treadmill I started feeling better, the last fifteen minutes felt easy, and when it was done I thought, "Wow... it's over already? I'd like to keep going!"
But I did do just one hour on the treadmill, 55 minutes at an average 2.9 mph pace followed with a 5 minute cooldown. Oddly, the treadmill said I only burned 600 calories (last Saturday, a different make of machine, said I did 800 with a little over an hour at 2.7 mph.) But I also think that the random pattern it laid out was a somewhat easier trek.
After that it was steam bath time for a bit. One of the problems with a public bath is that someone else can determine to up the steam level. When I got in it was warmish, then grew a bit cooler. Then someone else asked if he could up the steam. I didn't have a problem with that, but he then proceeded to put about 30 seconds worth of water spray into the input spout. So it vented steam for about a minute and got too hot. I spent a couple of minutes more in there, then got out. It was still good if a little premature.
Then it was treat time! I had a couple of dollars extra, so I bought a 12 oz. smoothie made with strawberry and orange creamsicle protein powders. Yummy!
Then home. :)
I'm thinking that if tomorrow is an exercise sabbath, that would be OK. But if I get gumption up (and the laundry done,) then I'll plan on maybe a Sunday swim or racquetball.... or something else that tickles my fancy.
