Goblin King's Wardrobe: Magic Dance, Oubliette, Blowing Bubbles and Battle Stations

This next group of four Jareth outfits are all built around the Life/Death vest, and although they are loosely in chronological order, he doesn't actually wear them all in a row. He has a lot of short scenes, and his outfits jump around quite a bit.

The Life/Death Vest is a dark leather vest that has many of Jareth's typical style elements: bones, insect parts, spirals, horns, decay and opulence. You can see the influence of Brian Froud's (the artistic director and costume designer) dark side in these - they have much in common with the Skeksis from "The Dark Crystal".

This vest is a good example of a piece that's worn several times in different ways throughout the movie, so if it's part of an ensemble that you're recreating (like I was for the Magic Dance outfit) it's good to look at other scenes for possibly better views.

2. Magic Dance
Dances with Toby and Goblins in the castle. (2 scenes)

Shows the spiral horn-like embellishment on the right shoulder of the vest.

Black chain - like a watch chain.

His Own Gloves
Silver Pendant of Power
Sceptre of Discipline

3. Oubliette
Laughs over Sarah while she is lost in the Oubliette.
Also, this is probably the same outfit worn when Jareth and Toby watch Sarah in the forest.

You only see Jareth's top half while he's in this outfit, and I think he wears it twice. It's a lot like the Magic Dance costume except he's wearing a simple black gauze shirt instead of the Artfully Tattered one, and you can't see his pants. However, since this outfit is so much like "Blowing Bubbles", I would guess he's wearing the Somewhat Shiny Charcoal Pants.

Pants - not seen.
Cuffless Black Shirt
Boots - not seen.
His Own Gloves
Dream Crystal
Silver Pendant of Power

4. Blowing Bubbles
Jareth sends the Crystal Bubbles out from his window.
I can't confirm from the movie whether he's wearing his Life/Death vest here, but that's my guess. This outfit looks like it is "Oubliette" plus the Skeletal Floaty Cape.

Black Cuffless Shirt
Boots - not seen.
His Own Gloves
Silver Pendant of Power
Dream Crystals

5. Battle Stations
First shown in a short scene where Jareth decides he will rename Toby after himself.
And then it is also worn throughout the Battle of Goblin City, which Jareth supervises from his window.
Essentially, this is the Magic Dance outfit plus the Skeletal Floaty Cape.

This is a good example of how if you were making the Black Armour, you should watch these scenes too, because the Skeletal Floaty Cape, especially its blue lining, is better seen here.
