Things Which Are Leafy (Also, Green)

I HAVE SO MANY PLANTS, IT IS ABSURD.

No really, I'm up to seven plants. The cast of characters include:

Roger, the tentacle-ly cactus
Betty, a bonsai tree of unknown parentage
Thelma and Louise, two badass kalanchoes
Spike, the most durable rosebush ever
Cecilia, a tropical climbing plant, and
Jennifer, aka Frankentree, a jade bonsai tree who was neglected by my father and now has no leaves.

Too many plants, to be certain. And the best part? Soon, there will be even more. This is mostly my mother's fault.

MOTHER: I do not want you going on a road-trip, you will be killed. Also, I have control issues.
KARA: But I want to go on a road-trip. Also, that is not really my problem.
MOTHER: . . . if you stay home, I will buy you a spider plant. And take you to the bookstore.
KARA: This sounds like a fair deal. Agreed!

Damn. My mother has figured out my secret weaknesses; books and plants. Oh well; anyone want some of the inevitable baby spider plants?

Not only that, but I have plans for another bonsai tree. An olive tree, to be exact. Don't judge me, olive trees are badass. Some of them have been around since Jesus. Yeah. That's right, Jesus. Although, I am torn about what kind to get; seeds, or an already grown tree? Olive trees are good starter trees, but I just don't know . . .

It's kind of odd, though, having a greenhouse for a room.

PLANTS: are everywhere
VISITORS: Oh God, half of this room is a barren wasteland and the other half is utter leafy madness.
ROOMMATE: Oh, yes, those. Don't touch them. -goes back to studying-
KARA: AREN'T THEY PRECIOUS YES YOU ARE BABY BABY BOOS.
VISITORS: are alarmed

Also, something*positive had the sweetest quote today: "You make me understand how wonderful it is for little lizards when they find that one special rock that's perfect for sunning themselves on. You make me lizard-happy." Cutest thing ever. You will know that I adore someone when I say that, because I have every intention of using it someday.
