I'm having second thoughts on this whole Jazzercise Instructing thing.
Reason #1:
There is a mound of paperwork and quite an outlay of money required. See, they require you to buy a franchise and pay a annual fee as well as provide them with a report of how many classes you taught every month. Sure, I would get paid by the owners of the facilities I teach at, but for all the work that is required to learn routines, etc., I'm not sure it's worth it.
Reason #2:
Learning routines is not fun. Not fun at all. In fact, I dread it already. That will severely detract from my love of Jazzercise, which I really don't want to do.
Reason #3:
It's hard. I don't usually hop through entire songs, but as an instructor, I have to. I tried several songs yesterday and could barely walk afterwards. My feet, ankles, shins, and chest are in pain. This may pass, but what if it doesn't?
So those are my reasons. My daughter will be disappointed with me. That's a biggie and my instructor is somewhat counting on me to take some of her classes off her hands, but if I don't enjoy it, it just isn't worth it.
I'm giving myself until Friday to decide. Right now, I hurt so I don't like it.
Stay tuned.
