But you got to remember, a lot of people being supported on welfare are people who are too lazyto go look for a job. Not everyone of course, but I know someone in my family is receiving unemployment and she has her master's. she is just too lazy to go look for a job. Its people like that the world is sick of supporting. right now, we can barely support ourselves let alone those who aren't trying.

and obama is for abortion, he's losing a of support because of it. but he's only been in office for a short time...its too soon for people to complain about his economic plan. It hasn't even had time to take affect!

Plus, people always need something to complain about. It is human nature.

Are you fucking kidding me? People on welfare aren't too lazy to go find a job, a lot of people don't have the education required because they don't have enough money for an education, which is a whole 'nother argument in itself. It's not because they are lazy. that is a just a falsehood that many people believe. Maybe you know someone who is lazy that is being supported on welfare, but I know many people on welfare and none of them are lazy.
It's ridiculous, everyone deserves a chance for education and equal opportunities. 7% of our population owns over 85% of the wealth in America.
I think it's also bullshit that people are so greedy as to think that the people who need help are lazy, it's a big problem with our society. You can't always listen to what people tell you.

I don't you think you read that comment correctly. I didn't say that everyone on welfare was lazy. I said people are tired of paying for the people who are lazy ( ... )

First of all, you don't understand who I was talking about, and I frankly think it's none of your business to be rebutting to my post when you don't understand what I am talking about. Because, I was frankly referring to people who live on my island, who are incredibly rich and bitch about everything just because we have a liberal president, and if there was a conservative one, they wouldn't say a word. and yeah I attacked you, because I honestly don't care what random people think. I also "got" what you were trying to tell me, I understand your opinion and respectfully agree, my tasteful language and all. Maybe read some Noam Chomsky and then come back when you know what you are talking about. k thanks.

Well I apologize for thinking that replying to your journal was ok. And if you were only talking about people who live on your island, you could have simply clarified that and that would have been fine.

secondly, i am not some random person. you actually know me, i didn't realize i wasn't signed in when i left my comment. so i see how you talk to your friends when you don't realize who you're talking to. A little two faced....

No, I know who you are, but if you are going to leave ignorant comments like that I'm going to bitch you out. Anyways, have you ever thought about it? People who are born into poverty can't afford school, so they can't get a job better than minimum wage, therefore they can't get out of poverty because they can't get a job that would give them enough money. even people who sink into poverty, it is still hard for them to get out because they don't have the qualifications to get a good job and get out of it. And ignorant people call them lazy, and that doesn't help either. Take a sociology class. Maybe if you didn't listen to what the media says and actually thought about it instead of just retorting I wouldn't of acted the way I did.

I have taken sociology, and psychology, and polotical science, and quite a few other classes. I understand that some people need help. I have NEVER denied that. All i said was that people who are milking the system dont' desrve to be on it ( ... )

I do accept your opinion, and maybe I am one sided, I know that and I accept it,the system fucks a lot of people over and a lot of people don't see that. I have strong opinions because I've been looking at both sides for a long time and I side with the one I've chosen. And yeah I bitched you out, even though your opinion doesn't match mine, it was ignorant in my opinion, therefore I called it so. Because, in my opinion someone who makes such a general comment as to say that "most people on welfare are lazy" because one person you know on welfare is lazy, is ignorant.

I do think i clarified in my second post that I didn't mean "most people" as I stated earlier and i really don' think it is most people. i agree a lot of people are trapped in the system of a lower education and a lower income ( ... )

I don't really think you can be a judge of my lifestyle, because you don't know me very well, I come from a wealthy island, my family isn't very wealthy, but I'm surrounded by people who are. I did and still do a lot of work with people on wellfare, and I live in Mt. Pleasant. the system doesn't help those who are really in need because people think those people are lazy, like the homeless and people who are below the poverty level. like you've stated before. How is the system supposed to help those people? the qualifications are pretty ridiculous, like having an address or a certain level of income. And those people who own two cars and have their own homes and are still are on wellfare are people who I don't think are lazy, like I've stated before, these are also the people who don't have time or money to get an education or focus on anything else but live from paycheck to paycheck.
