I do think i clarified in my second post that I didn't mean "most people" as I stated earlier and i really don' think it is most people. i agree a lot of people are trapped in the system of a lower education and a lower income.

but My family does a lot of work, especially around the holidays, with the unfortunate people in our community. Our church and my school donates food and toys to families who ask for help. More than 50% who ask for help, own two cars, their own home, and one parent has a stable job. Thats what i base my opinion on. I get so angry at these people because I know that the there are people who really need the help and yet the system is benefiting those who don't really need it.

You're right, the system sucks.

we have just been exposed to different life styles, so our opinions differ. I don't think it makes your comment ignorant though. Just because you haven't been exposed to same things as I have, doesn't make you ignornant. and i still resent you saying i am ignorant just because i haven't been exposed to the same things you have. i know that people need help and it isn't there fault, but i wish the system didn't benefit those who could be helpin themselves and simply choose not to

I don't really think you can be a judge of my lifestyle, because you don't know me very well, I come from a wealthy island, my family isn't very wealthy, but I'm surrounded by people who are. I did and still do a lot of work with people on wellfare, and I live in Mt. Pleasant. the system doesn't help those who are really in need because people think those people are lazy, like the homeless and people who are below the poverty level. like you've stated before. How is the system supposed to help those people? the qualifications are pretty ridiculous, like having an address or a certain level of income. And those people who own two cars and have their own homes and are still are on wellfare are people who I don't think are lazy, like I've stated before, these are also the people who don't have time or money to get an education or focus on anything else but live from paycheck to paycheck.
