I just found it amusing...

In my current boredom procrastinating doing any work in two classes I hate and know I'm doomed in anyway, I found this slightly amusing...

When you view one of your friend's LJs, if you look up, you will probably see something like "Yourfriendinsertedhere is your mutual friend" then right below it "Manage friends". So first, you are comforted in knowing that someone in the great big 'verse likes you enough to read your incessant ramblings. THEN, if you don't like them, you can "manage" them and take them off your list. So the next time they log in, they will not find the reassuring message that you are their mutual friend, and they will thusly kill themselves.

In the nature of one of two homework assignments I'm not doing, here you go:
Let L stand for whether or not you like someone enough to make them a mutual friend.

Let C stand for the comfort given when you find you have a mutual LJ friend.

Let M stand for the instance where you "manage" that friend.

Let S stand for the instance when that managed friend does not find the reassuring message of acceptance.

Let D stand for their consequential demise (suicide).

If L then C. If not L then M. If M then not C. If not C then S. If S then D. THEREFORE If not L, then D.

In formulaic form, it looks something like this:

L -> C
~L -> M
M -> ~C
~C -> S
S -> D :. ~L -> D

Can you prove it? I can't. And that's why I'm going to fail my logic course.

Cheers.
