old navy owns my soul

Ahhhhh, Old Navy. I just love you. A couple weeks ago, I ordered some pants. One pair for work, and one nice pair of jeans. (On a related note, all my pants are wearing out RIGHT NOW. All in the thighs. :( My jeans are getting so threadbare that one good jerk and they will be ripped right through, and my work pants are getting holes right on the seams. I've tried patching them, but alas, it doesn't stay.). They came, and they fit SO GOOD! I have to hem both pairs, but that's a sacrifice I am willing to make. The jeans are lovely, and the pants are so comfortable they feel like track pants. So good!

Today I went into Old Navy to get some more of the comfy work pants. I didn't really expect to have any luck, figuring I would just order them and have a nice look around (I am waiting for their nice sweaters to come in!) As I suspected, they didn't have my size in store, but I had some MAJOR luck at the clearance racks!! I found 4 (FOUR!) pairs of work pants, in my size for 9.99!! FANTASTIC! Then, I found another pair for 17.99, and those same jeans were on sale for $25! I am just over the moon. Sure. the new pants I bought aren't perfect - they are a different fit then I usually buy, but for $10, they are perfect. I still might order some of the other pants, for non-work dressing up, but I will wait until they get some awsome sweaters instock too.

As for the parenting stuff I wrote about before, things are going better! After a couple weeks of Teddy and I asserting ourselves as parents, and practicing doing what we say immediatley, things are better. Audrey seems to be listening more and whining less! It's a bit like dog training, really - you have to make sure that she knows you are in charge! I'm feeling mucn better about that.

Audrey and I had colds earlier, but we are getting over them. I am SO TIRED though - my fault since I have not been going to bed on time. Last night was so bad - I was so overtired my ears were ringing, and it was so loud that I couldn't sleep. Boourns!

(Random - what happened to my spell check?! I don't want to have to spell check myself, that's silly.)

Um... other then that, I have nothing much to say! Been working on keeping the table cleared at mealtimes, so we can eat there. So far so good, but I have yet to get out the sewing machine. Will try tomorrow, as I have 2 quilts to finish by the end of October. Hurry hurry!

parenting: the hardest thing, should be sleeping, real life
