testimony of prayer
Hello all!
I am very new to Live Journal, so even though I have found some communities that I would like to be a part of, I am still not sure at all how this works.
Anyway, I thought I might start by giving a small accounting of my testimony of prayer.
I have been through a lot of trials, recently, and I have really had to lean on the Lord. I am currently going through a divorce - and for someone that truly believe in the covenants made during the marriage ceremony, this is very hard. I am devastated, and hurting.
I have really been praying a lot, recently. I have had inspiring experiences with prayer, before, but lately I know that one of the only things that really helps me to put one foot in front of the other, right now, is the relationship that I have with my Heavenly Father. I know that he listens to and answers prayers. I know that he loves me. I know that he is my best friend, and that he truly knows what I am going through.
I am able to have an optimistic outlook, during this terribly hard time, because I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me, and that as long as I am striving to live my life in the right way, and that as long as I have Faith in Him, that my little girls and I will be okay. I know that I could do none of this alone, so I am so glad that I have the certainty that He is listening to me always!
