(no subject)
I went grocery shopping and smashed my toe on the wheel of the shopping trolley. Should not have chosen sandals maybe, but weather is being pretty. It ain't easy being a toe of mine :( (ETA: toe has since turned blue. Nail still attached. Feels a little ouchy and not up to running. ONCE AGAIN MY PLANS ARE FOILED BY TOES. It ain't easy being my toes' owner :( )
But I got bananas, grapes, nectarines, pears, radishes, carrots, another red kuri squash for more curry experimentation, bell peppers, tomatoes, potatoes and onions. Yay fruit! Yay vegetables! Also, yay tons of sweets (it also ain't easy buying your entire sweets supply for the week on a Saturday. Because this requires actual restraint during the week or it's all gone by Tuesday except for the cereal bars.) *eats a banana*
I'm heading out in a bit (as soon as my camera battery is done charging) because I'm planning the cultural experience! Well, actually, my parents visited two weeks ago, and they saw more of this city in three days than I did in five months. Which is obviously not okay and also an incentive to see cultural stuff on the weekend. So what is latin_doll going to do today?
Yeah well, I'm going to a cemetery. In my defense, it's a really big one. It is said that people jog there, so maybe it's more like a park? (PS: I'm not picky where I run, I mean, it's mostly big streets with lots of traffic for me anyway for reasons of location, but I promise I would never run on a cemetery. The only thing that appears worse than jogging on a cemetery is nordic walking on a cemetery. Your mileage may vary.)
And tomorrow I'll either go to a hopefully appropriately nerdy zoology museum, or some art exhibition (I know, I'm the world's worst ex-wannabe-artist, but somehow I sometimes prefer animal bones and cell diagrams to installations. But maybe I'll have dug my inner snob out by tomorrow, who knows.)
