I'm temporarily in a place where people apparently do not believe in shoveling the pavements in the winter. Or maybe they do not possess shovels. Or common sense. In combination with the last months's evil deathsnow, this results mostly in Oh god no I don't wanna run I'm going to break six toes and a wrist and crack my skull on the uncaring ground.
Logically, though, as nice as sitting onna couch watching Bridget Jones' Diary while eathing frozen-raspberry-yoghurt-chocolate syrup-concoctions is, I think this is not how you prepare for a half marathon. I didn't haul my running gear across half of Germany for this! (It consists of trousers and special socks and a top and a shirt and a jacket and a headband and gloves and shoes, after all. It adds up.)
So I woke up today and lo, it was raining, and I looked outside and there's hardly any ice left! The rest I think I'll manage to avoid. I don't think I have any excuses *googlemaps nice and easy 5K route to start with*
