I'm fortunate to be living in a part of the country with plenty of rural areas. Work has been busy, stressful at times, but the drives between customers have been a tonic to the soul. Age catching up....I was at a good friend's 50th celebrations a week ago. She was staying in the Forest of Dean and a large group of us got together to join her and her family for some walks in the days either side of the party. The tree colours were at their peak, and the weather held; some perfect walking, cosy pubs, good company and great views ( Read more... )

I like music. My stereo doesn't get used quite so much these days as I tend to be listening to the radio, or on the speakers by my computer. I'm still a CD man on the whole, despite friends encouraging me to go the iPod route.

The weather was perfect for an autumn walk on Sunday, and I joined S for a trek along part of the Cotswold Way. It is easy to take for granted how much variety of countryside I have virtually on my doorstep.
