Tomorrow starts the “A New You” flood. And what is this flood? Well, we’re glad you asked! It is essentially a “bad canon” flood. Is your character in another version of his canon (a reboot or otherwise) that is absolutely atrocious? Or even just hilarious? This is your chance to play them from that particular canon

Rex is the bad canon version of himself :c ALAS. There's no fic I can take him from, because the only ones I've read were either 1) Good or 2) Made him full on Schillinger "I'm gonna rape yer mouth, boy" I'M NOT EVEN KIDDING why, ff.net, why-- Oh, because it's ff.net.

Anyway, Arthur uhhhh. IDK, ideas? The worst fic versions I've seen were ones that made him a boy prostitute because apparently people think Mysterious Skin is hawt. I don't wanna do that, SO. HELP. I wanna do something with Arthur.

David's got his hands full in the impersonating Bourne plot, but... I really wish he didn't, because Alternamorphs #02 offers the most hilariously badly-written summary of the David plot ever, and your player character... basically is David. Alas.

Achilles here is played deadly-serious always, and I've never seen much Ender's Game fanfic that didn't focus on the title protagonist, so.... idk? I'm open to suggestions.

There actually is something I think of as a bad fanon version of Una, although it's not really so egregious as to be amusing. Will ponder. Or ... oh man, if I can make myself sit through enough of Zardoz, maybe she'll be Consuella. Heh.

I haven't seen much Inception badfic, but ... would it be within the scope of the flood theme to have Mal basically be projection!Mal? That is to say: 100% obsessive with Cobb, definitely a bit unhinged, kind of murderous, and just sort of an awful person? If this will traumatize the people around her too much, I'll pass, but just thought I'd throw it out there. If anyone has other ideas, I'd love to hear 'em.

Elric teeters so close to self-parody sometimes. Maybe I'll just shove him right in. Or turn him into Nuada from Hellboy, since I already use those Luke Goss icons.

This could be made to happen.

Part of my thinking of why it might be a good idea to turn her into her projection self is that it would give her a lot of insight, both into Cobb and also how she may be perceived by others. She won't like it one bit, but it might give her a good solid push along the road to redemption. Obvs. one would need Arthur to verify that yes, that's what she's like in Cobb's dreams. Which he's told her about, of course, but experiencing it firsthand will be a whole different kettle of fish.

DEPENDING ON WHAT I DO WITH ARTHUR, OF COURSE. I'm having a hard time thinking up bad versions of him. I've seen... a lot of bad RPers for Arthur, but idk, I'd just feel like a HUGE JERK if I copied them for lols.

BUT YEAH, Arthur will definitely be able to verify after the flood.
