Who: Kid Jim and OPEN
What Catherine ignores her hiatus for a sly log before the australians arrive. Tiny Jim hangs out on deck in the snow
When: During the flood
Where: Out on deck
Warnings: None likely
Jim was ankle deep in snow, stretched up onto his tiptoes and staring out over the barrier and into the stars.
He was lost here.
There'd been a lot of noise, a lot of people talking on the small television he'd found, and lots of pictures too once he'd peeled the tape off it. The meaning of it all hadn't quite sunk in for him (It wasn't like proper TV. All of it looked boring, none of the light was right, there weren't any cartoons, he didn't know where he was) but he'd watched the pictures and listened to the words for a little while, because there hadn't been anything else that looked like a television in the room he'd woken up in, and he hadn't been sure what else there was that he could do.
Eventually, the directness of the noise and the pictures began to disturb him. The idea that the people he was watching could see him back, and that they would find him, crept into his mind. Jim didn't want to be found.
He pushed the tape back across the screen, the way it had been when he arrived, then crept out of the room and into the hallway, crept through the hallways and out into the snow, crept to the barrier, and stared out at the stars.
He was lost here. He hoped he could stay lost here.
