Shego took point sheerly out of a need to get this thing to its inevitable trainwreck conclusion as quickly as possible. She was actually pleasantly surprised that they hadn't seen serious resistance or been eaten by rogue nanomites or met a contingent of irritated Wardens (yet); then again, her not inconsiderable experience of mad scientists had taught her they always tripped up on the last hurdle. She wasn't allowing herself the optimism to believe even for a second that this would actually work.

It was just good exercise. That, and she'd earnt a few karmic points over the last couple days that she needed to burn off.

"That was... kinda easy," Perry remarked to no one in particular. He hadn't done anything like this before. This whole scheming supervillain, breaking-and-entering high tech labs shit? It felt like a movie. It was even kind of... fun. Nothing had gone wrong, they'd managed to get there without warden intervention, and the bomb was done.

He hung back, keeping fairly close to Rex, content to let Shego go first. It was a weird thought that where now he was a willing participant, last time he had been mind-warped and forced into it. He pushed the thought away. This was different. So much Barge shit had gone down since then. He was exhausted by the ship and it felt good to be doing something. Shego might not have been giving in to optimism, but Perry was. They could actually, seriously, do this now. Destroy the Barge and get away from it once and for all.

Shego heard the sound of engines before the shadow crossed her vision and she frowned, looking up. Measured against everything else she'd seen, the jet looked way too advanced for the local police - more like something Global Justice would have on standby. She looked to Rex, raising her voice over the engine noise.

"Friends of yours?"
