The infirmary has any number of things Vanessa would love to get her hands on, but she knows full well that while the workers are there and alert she has no chance. Still, she lingers in the hallway briefly; anything she can learn about the layout might be useful in the future.

Will has also been mostly keeping to himself, partially out of habit, but also because it's just clearly the safer option here. That doesn't mean he hasn't been out and about though, and today he's just wandering around with Kirjava, who's keeping pace next to him.
The infirmary's also interesting to him, but more because he's interested to see how they treat people and if he can be of any assistance, but he hasn't thought to ask anyone about it yet. When he sees Vanessa (who he knows by sight, but not by name or alias) outside, he stops.
"Hello." Keeping a low profile doesn't mean you can't be polite.

She recognizes him mostly because of the cat - it's hard to mistake. That said, all she really knows about him is that he's one of the wardens... Whether that's a good thing for her at the moment or not is not nearly so clear.

"No. Do you?" It was an honest question, since they seemed to let just about anyone who proved they could be trusted staff the place if need be, and he was pretty sure she wasn't a warden. Or if she was, she was even less social than he was.

Vanessa shakes her head. "I don't really know much about medicine, so I'd probably just get in the way. But--" she smiles a little, friendly, tentative, "--I guess it's probably a good idea to know how to get here anyway... just in case. Don't you think?"

"With the way people talk about this place, I'd say so," he said, a little dryly, but with a slight smile in place to show he meant it as a joke. Kirjava was watching Vanessa curiously, but kept quiet, her tail swishing lazily back and forth on the floor.

"It's a little scary sometimes, especially since everyone talks so casually about it." She notes Kirjava's attention and glances down at the tabby with interest. "You have a beautiful cat... Oh! I'm sorry. My name is Hope."

"Will. She's Kirjava." He hadn't told anyone that Kirjava wasn't just a regular cat, although really, all things considered, it probably wouldn't be all that strange for people to accept. They were living on a ship with characters from Harry Potter, after all. "You're an inmate?"

Vsnessa knows more about parrots than cats, and not nearly enough about either to have any idea if one's ...unusual... just by looking at it. At Will's words, she half-smiles, looking down. "Is it so obvious?"
Re: Noon - Outside the infirmarybecauseheswillJuly 1 2011, 03:44:58 UTC
"Maybe not. But you'd be awfully quiet for a warden." Not that he was really in a place to judge people about that, since he was just as bad. He wasn't really here to make friends or get along with people, he was here to do a job. And, since he hadn't been assigned an inmate yet, that meant he was sort of left to his own devices.

She hadn't seen nearly as much from him over the network as from others, but that was not something to bring up here and now.
"I hate to interrupt so many people I don't know to talk about things that aren't really important." Shrugging slightly, she looked back up at him. "So - are you a warden, then?"

So she nods to him. "Hello. Do you work here?"
