Sveta didn't like what she read in Petronilla's file. It was full of thoughtless manipulation and disregard for other people...two things she really didn't like in a person. But what she was worried about was the lie that the woman had already brought aboard the ship. The pregnancy. It...couldn't be right. Not after what she read, and that actually sickened Sveta a little. To come into a new place, full of lies and deceit...that took a different kind of person.
The doctor wasn't going to try and talk to her in the journals, though. No. That wouldn't have accomplished what she wanted. She needed a face to face talk. Even after all that, she wanted to believe that there was something good in the woman.
Frowning to herself, she knocked twice at the door.
