it's time for Keep-Away With Pumpkin!Ardent.

Oct 29, 2010 07:45

Who: Harlequin!Una, Pumpkin!Ardent, and hopefully the entire population of the Barge.
What: Harlequin finds a jack o'lantern. Hijinks ensue.
Where: All over the Barge.
When: During the flood.
Warnings: Not really, no.
Notes: All of this is, of course, totally with Kim1's permission! Basically the rules of the game are: In this post, Harlequin's going to throw pass the pumpkin to somebody. First responder will catch the pumpkin and within as few posts as possible (even as quickly as "Adam grabbed the pumpkin out of the air and ran away with it, before leaving it on someone's doorstep") will then throw, give away, leave, or hide the pumpkin somewhere else for someone else to pick up. Who will then ... yeah, you get the idea. The idea is to just keep the pumpkin moving from person to person, very quickly. Occasionally Ardent may pop in with a reaction.

Please do NOT drop, destroy, carve, or otherwise damage the pumpkin-we want Ardent on the other end of the flood in one piece. Just make sure he covers as much of the Barge as possible. Bonus points if he finishes up the flood in someone's bedroom or something.

ETA-one other thing: there is a glow-in-the-dark dwarf rune on the pumpkin-Ardent's tattoo. Only noticeable, of course, if someone handles the pumpkin in the dark. It looks kind of like a Norse rune.

***

An androgynous figure, clad in brightly-coloured motley, wearing a hat and a domino mask, and with a slapstick tucked into belt, creeps through the lower decks of the Barge. Harlequin has found a fine large jack o'lantern and made away with it. Exactly what is to be done with the carved pumpkin? Harlequin remains undecided. Perhaps it will be left as a gift, or dropped from a great height* onto someone's head for a jape. Or perhaps Harlequin will keep it, for the amusement therein, until it becomes tiresome. The day is young and Harlequin has yet to decide.
*[NO IT WON'T. SEE ABOVE.]

There is a noise from around the corner ahead and Harlequin stops. Hesitates. Then backs into an alcove, sets the pumpkin down on the floor and crouches beside it, and waits. A person steps into view and Harlequin gives the pumpkin a firm shove, rolling it at their feet. Mischief accomplished, Harlequin springs up and runs away down the corridor.

[All righty, someone catch the pumpkin and pass him on! Poor Ardent...]
