Damon walked down the hallway impatiently, trying not to act obviously on edge. His hand curling into a fist as he rubbed the bare patch of skin where his ring should be over and over.
This is what happened when you got in a long conversation about the relative merits of female inmates versus female wardens and forgot to check you put your ring back on after kneading bread.
He burst in, not expecting anyone to be in the kitchens, and so, stopped short at the sight of a woman standing by the fridge. His eyes slid quickly to the side. There it was, by the fruit bowl. He relaxed minutely.
"Midnight snack?" he asked, walking forwards slowly.
Ana heard someone coming in, and she busied herself with a spoon, sliding it into the ice cream then sticking it into her mouth. There was the smallest little bit of chocolate on her lip before she whirled around quickly and looked at the man with embarrassment on her face. Oh, oh of course it was one of the things that she would have preferred not to run into if she could avoid it.
All and all, Ana didn't think that they'd ever actually 'met' before, something she was glad about. Her expression shifted into one of vapid interest as she removed the spoon and studied him. There was a quick grin. "You know, sometimes a girl just needs a little bit of chocolate." She laughed, a low, throaty sound before she slipped the spoon into the chocolate again. "Want a bite?" The spoon was offered towards him with a grin.
"I'll bet." He smirked. Taste even better coming off those lips. He walked up, swiping the ring neatly as he passed and moving his hands behind his back, sliding it onto his finger and leaning forwards towards her.
His hand came up to hold her wrist gently, and he licked the back of the spoon, slipping it into his mouth, eyes on her, making no attempt to hide the subtext. Then he leaned back licked cold chocolate off his lips, was about to speak when-
He caught the scent of blood, nostrils flaring, pupils dilating. His grip tightened. "You're bleeding."
Ana didn't mind the subtext, and it showed on her face, she smirked at him, all the while keeping her hand loose, and her posture confident and amused. This part could get exceptionally dangerous, when she was here and unarmed with him. Right now she was projecting no threat when he took hold of her hand.
When his grip tightened on her wrist, Ana's brows lifted quickly. Her joint tightened in response, and Ana looked at the blood that had ended up on her hand. "Oh." She said with a breathless little laugh, and a bit of excited fear; I scratched my hand on the freezer door, but it's all better now."
Actually, this gave her a good idea of what to expect tomorrow when it came time to capture him. She had everything ready and waiting, all settled into a black duffle bag.
He made his grip loosen. Had to remember to play the nice vampire after the mess with Rex. "Should get it seen to anyway." He moved away, leaned back against the side.
She didn't seem the brightest of characters, but that wasn't really a problem for Damon, she had other... assets.
Ana chuckled softly, and she waved her hand quickly in front of him. "Why? It's already healed." And it was, because really, it never had been there. She leaned over and said in her best blond voice. After all, she was meant to be harmless despite everything else and there was nothing more harmless than a vapid blond.
"I don't think I know you." A brilliant grin. "I would have remembered." A low hunting tone in her voice, before she extended her hand towards him again. "I'm Angie. I'm new here." Being new meant that she hopefully wouldn't be tied at all to Rex or Cobra or anything else.
Damon grinned, oh good, new blood. She had a Caroline sort of vibe; the ditzy blonde, easy on the eyes, easier on the powers - if he still had them, but he'd done fine without so far, no reason to think this meeting would be any different.
He let himself relax into the role, widening his smile. He reached out and shook the offered hand. "Damon. Pleasure to meet you, Angie. How are you finding the barge?"
"Damon, huh? How demonic." She said the words like she was the first person to have ever thought of them. There was a delighted little giggle, and Ana's head bobbed a little bit as he smiled and his posture relaxed. For a moment she wondered if she could take him like this. Just not have to wait for her plan. No, no she wanted Rex to know so he could watch.
"Oh you know. I'm not even sure why I'm here really.." There was a little giggle and Ana's finger traced over her lip. "I mean I didn't even do anything that badly." She looked at him with a cocky but impressed smile. "What about you, Damon? Are you a bad boy?"
He just managed not to roll his eyes at the pun, why were the prettiest ones also the stupidest? "It's been said," he agreed, with a slight shrug.
"Bad? Very," he said with a twist of his lips. "Didn't do anything badly? Did you do bad things well, then?" he asked, a dark glint in his eyes. "There must be a reason, no one ends up here without due cause."
He leaned forwards for another spoon-full, "Or are you your 'angelic' namesake?" Seems bad puns were catching.
Ana giggled. She pressed her hand to her mouth quickly, and she watched him twist his lips like that. Ana took a step closer to him, her voice was low. "Well, the officer said that I did, but I definitely didn't do anything that bad." She placed one hand on her chest and purred softly.
"I'm definitely no angel. Being an angel is soooooooooo boring. I like my life to have more bite in it." Well, maybe that might be coming on too strong, but the less she had to fight him into getting into his room, the longer she could have with him for her little quiet time with him.
He let the smirk widen slowly over his lips. "Biting I can do." His eyes flicked down to her hand, the warmth of her palm radiating through his shirt to his skin, his unbeating heart. He brought his hand up slowly to cover hers, fingers trailing along hers softly, raising it away from his chest, and brushing his thumb across the lifeline on her palm distractingly.
This was surprisingly easy - he felt a second of suspicion - of course, he was irresistible - the suspicion faded.
He tilted his head to the side. "What did you do?" he asked. Couldn't hurt to find out.
"Can you now?" She let her voice get a little husky, and she giggled again, looking at him over the edge of her glasses She shivered a bit when he brushed his thumb over her life line, and made a little noise of delight as she did so. "You really are... wow. Maybe I should have come here a long time ago."
At the question of what she did, Ana sighed softly. "This girl was going to take my boyfriend, and I couldn't let it happen..." She dropped her voice and leaned in quickly. "So I didn't." Grinning like she had gotten away with something, she grinned at him, and then sighed awkwardly.
"Sadly I didn't think about how to get after the car after she..." A tone drop, and a shift that was probably nothing at all like guilt. "You know."
"Maybe you should, he replied, pitching his voice low in response to her purr.
He grinned back at her, teeth sharp against his lower lip. He contained a roll of his eyes at her mention of the car, turned it into something vaguely resembling concern. "Bad luck." He shifted forwards, bringing his hands up to rest on her hips. "Still, it brought you here, wasn't all bad."
He leaned down towards, her, bringing their faces close, his tongue flicking out to lick his lips. Inches of space between them, one... or both would only need to bend their head a tiny fraction and they'd...
When he put his hands on her hips, she looked down at them, and then grinned back up at him. She was every bit the girl who was excited for it, and her heart rate increased a bit. Ana knew what was coming of course, she played the game too often and too well in the outside world for her not to know about this.
"Nope," she cooed. "Not bad at all. They definitely don't build boys like you back home." She quickly leaned in and kissed him, earnestly, but with a little bit of chasteness in it. These were the kisses that Ana had first used on her husband when they had begun to date.
If she could get him to agree to meet him tomorrow, this would go down much easier than it otherwise would.
The kiss wasn't what he was expecting, a little more delicate, more gentle. He'd have to coax it out of her. Well, never let it be said that Damon Salvatore was the kind of man to step down from a challenge.
He heard the increased beat of her heart, not as clearly as he might have at full powers, but enough to know he was having an effect. Damon slid his hands around her waist, thumbs hooking slightly over the the top of her pants. "They don't build boys like me anywhere. I'm one of a kind." And he pulled her towards him as he finished, the smooth silk of her pyjamas pressing against his jeans. "Why don't we go somewhere more private? Get to know each other?" He didn't see the point in stretching the dance out much longer, the intent was clear on both sides.
When he pulled back and spoke, Ana kept her eyes half-shut as if she was dazed by the kiss, and she grinned at him a bit when his thumbs hooked over the top of her pj pants. She swallowed quickly, and her fingers traced his cheek. Now came the interesting part. After all, Angie was definitely not a tease, but she had no intention of getting to be in a room alone with him until he was properly dosed.
She looked around a bit, and found a convenient excuse with the clock. "Damn. I need to be on breakfast duty in two hours, and I'd much rather have time to spend with you rather than worrying about the clock and needing to run and fight people for an early shower." There was a quick, bright grin, and she traced his neck to his collarbone. "What about after breakfast but before lunch?"
Ana knew his shift was then, but she didn't know how likely he was to blow it off.

"Somehow it tastes better at three am."
