Ana was good at creeping through the halls. She tended to move fairly silently despite the large heels that were on her feet, and the leather that made up her suit. She really was in a foul mood, between James looking like a ten year old and Rex thinking that she was a stranger. Most of the children she had encountered had been met with a glare, and she wished that she had the ability to simply lock them up somewhere and not have to deal with them ( ... )

Sark pressed his back up against a wall, waiting for someone to get close enough to the corner so that he could lunge at them. Were he in control of his senses, he'd find a hundred things wrong with his tactic, but as he was little more than a scared, tortured child with some degree of training and a fork, of all things.

As soon as Ana stepped into his line of sight, he pounced, not even aiming so much as blindly shoving the fork at her and hoping that sheer momentum could actually make the attack effective.

Enjoy the scrawny, thirteen-year-old trying to bowl you over and stab you repeatedly with a fork, Baroness. That's not weird at all.

When Sark pounced at her, Ana blinked. Well, this was unexpected, and she completely loathed the children on board already. Little monsters. Ana quickly used the boy's own momentum to press him into the wall, her hand wrapped around his throat. Shaking him like a cat, Ana looked into the kid's face. Her voice was soft and cold. "What the hell do you think you're doing? I've had dogs who've lunged at me better than that."

There was something familiar in the child's face, even if she couldn't place what it was, and one gloved hand grabbed the wrist that had held the fork and gave it a shake as well, wanting him to drop it. Really, who the hell used a fork as a weapon. "A for effort, F for execution, kid."

Sark squirmed, his face showing the ridiculous amount of irritation both at being manhandled and having his competency called into question, despite the fact that competency was what he lacked right now.

"You people abducted me. I'll see you all killed. Irina won't stand for this." He thrashed violently, reducing himself to the mindset of an agitated child, rather than someone with a sense of decorum- he hadn't quite learned how to manage that in a bad situation yet.
