Who: 11-12 & Rex/Cobra Commander When: The night after this. Where: First floor common room What: Watching movies and being (sort of) friends. Warnings: Will add if necessary!
Rex was lounging on the couch when 11-12 arrived, flipping through a book on advanced computer engineering from a world far more advanced than his own. It was refreshing to read, actually, if occasionally frustrating. The terminology and processes outlined in the book were alien to him, and thus, challenging. Perhaps he could apply this to his own research in order to refine the nanomites into perfection.
Ah, the perks of a multidimensional library. A shame he had to be in a prison to enjoy it.
When 11-12 entered the room, he closed the book and looked over at the other man with a slight smile. Although he wasn't feeling as sick (or "stressed out and anxious") as he was, Rex still looked a little anemic.
"Hey." He waved a hand at the coffee table, which had a few DVDs on it, namely Terminator 2, Blade Runner, and Re-Animator. Yeah, there was a definite SCIENCE GONE AWRY theme going. "It occurs to me that I have no idea what kind of movie you like, so if these don't look good, I can grab something else

XD Re-Animator... One of my favourites.villagesonFebruary 19 2010, 06:58:21 UTC
11-12 smiled more at seeing Rex there and looking.... well, maybe not completely well but up and around anyway.
He walked in and approached the couch.
"I've only seen some movies with Martha. Mostly comedies. I'd like to see more of... anything, really." There hadn't been any of these kind of movies in the Village - only some kind of soap operas on the television. He had found he was enjoying watching different kinds of movies so he was fine with watching whatever Rex suggested.
Re-Animator it is! Because it's the one I can remember the sequence of the best right nowstopthat_destroFebruary 19 2010, 16:34:21 UTC
"Hm. Most of the stuff I have is science fiction, action, horror." He shrugged. Sci-fi was definitely his genre of choice (wonder why), but he was curious to see how the very sheltered 11-12 would respond to a horror film (even if, as far as Rex was concerned, it wasn't scary at all), so he leaned forward and grabbed Re-Animator. Man, if only he'd brought The Fly with him instead. It had even more of a sci-fi theme to blend with the horror.
Oh well, live and learn. He held up the DVD. "So... horror?" With a grin, he added, "I promise it's not really that scary." Well, it wasn't to him, anyway. He moved to put the DVD in, trying to think of some conversational small talk.
He's already having nightmares about severed heads...villagesonFebruary 19 2010, 17:57:18 UTC
If anyone ever fourth-walled 11-12 they'd probably point out that he was in what could be called a sci-fi show - though he didn't know that at the moment.
"Horror?" He sounded a little uncertain as if wondering why people would want to watch horrible things but he settled back anyway, trusting Rex's judgement for now.
"I felt a bit groggy and a bit of a headache the other day but not too bad," he gave Rex a small smile. "Thanks for helping me out."

"How've you been lately? No hangover?"
