McCoy was a sensible man. He knew he shouldn't be out, not with half the Barge cluing in to the fact he was one of the 'weird' ones (he was a doctor, not an actor damnit) and with the face Kirk's sedative would have worn off maybe three or so hours ago. If this Kirk was anything like his Kirk (and lord he couldn't wrap his mind around that because Jim was a good man, not this) then he'd be unable to stomach the defeat, obsessing over finding both McCoy and Shego to make good on his threats.
Despite that McCoy was out, on his way back to Inara's room while keeping his eyes peeled down and around every hallway he walked. He was sure he was a real sight, head jerking to look over his shoulder every minute, looking around corners as if he expected something to pop out and eat him. Despite that he wasn't prepared when Uhura came around a corner outside the mess, expression shifting to alarm before he smothered it to a dull sort of boredom. If Kirk had contacted Spock and Uhura he was as good as dead.
"Lieutenant." He greeted nonchalantly. It took a great deal of effort not to stare at the state of her uniform, stomach exposed, knife strapped to her leg as natural as day.
