Severus was having no better of a time. He was cold, pummeled on all sides by an accent he despised, and he had made it quite clear that he'd wanted to stay aboard the barge for the duration of the port. No one, of course, had listened, and now he was following T'Pol around a Muggle hellhole wondering just how long it would take him to lose his warden and find the nearest wizarding establishment in which he could hide until the Admiral decided to let him back in his room.

He looked grimly at the hotel T'Pol had found; it looked like a typical low-cost, seedy establishment. Something a person might rent by the hour, in fact...

"Hardly," he replied sourly. "The Admiral gave you a credit card; find a hotel where we don't have to guard the door and sleep in shifts."

Pinching her lips together at the corners, T'Pol suppressed a shiver. She wasn't familiar with the currency of this century, but what the Admiral had given them certainly seemed unlimited.

"If you've seen some place more agreeable, by all means, point it out." She steeled herself a moment before walking out into the wind again, pulling her hat a little further down her ears. A map would be incredibly helpful, but of course one was not provided. And with all these locations, she wasn't even certain of where to find one. The only option at present was to keep walking - or stop any of the numerous passerby buffeting their sides and hope they knew. Or would answer.

She much preferred San Francisco.

"We left an entirely agreeable place in Central Park," he hissed, referring to the Barge. He shoved past a knot of tourists.

T'Pol didn't seem to be enjoying the cold; some small comfort to him. If she was miserable, it meant it would take very little work to convince her to turn back.

"Everything in this city is noisy, overpriced, and -" he grunted as he stepped out of the way of a man with a pot of what appeared to be burning chestnuts. Fed up, he snapped, "T'Pol, I preferred the beach!"

T'Pol glanced back at him as he avoided the man and his chestnuts. Exasperation was creeping up her spine, and it was getting far more difficult to control its encroachment. "Consider this an opportunity, Severus. I'm told there are numerous things to do in this city; there must be some hobby you can feed here." Preferably before they bit each other's heads off.

She shot him a look from the corner of her eye, arching one brow. "At least here, it is less likely that the food and water will reduce us to children or worse."
