HALLOWEEN PLOT - Log

Oct 15, 2009 12:40

WHO: The Marquis de Sade, Pavi
WHERE: The Marquis' chambers
WHEN: Midmorning, after a night of much rigorous 'making up'.
WHAT: Pavi finds a curious little bauble in the Marquis' collection. A bauble which is certain to ruin EVERYONE'S LIVES eventually. NOTE: This is not an official start to the plot, just setting up where Pavi finds the Configuration. The plot should get an official start in the next one or two weeks, and there will be an official announcement soon.

Emerging from his bathroom -- a remarkable luxury with some modern amenity that had been specially requested by the Marquis upon accepting his role as a waden -- the Marquis wrapped himself in the familiar and billowing scarlet robe he was often seen wearing when he was relaxing. A slow waft of steam followed after him. The Frenchman was not surprised to not see Pavi still asleep in bed where he'd left him. After their reconciliation the day before much of their activities had been relegated to a very different kind of exchange, the sort that kept them quite occupied until well past the midnight hour. He, himself, had indulged in a hot bath to alleviate some muscular aches that had not been fully dispelled by sleeping late.

Tying off his robe, he climbed into the bed, not bothering to straighten the bedclothes, but gathering the various apparati they had used the night before: A pair of shackles from the ring that hung from the capopy came down with a metallic jingle, silk scarves untethered from the bedposts with a deftness that suggested much experience in the matter, a riding crop, and those unmentionables that needed cleaning were already gathered and awaiting attention in the bathroom. The Marquis was hardly a meticulous man but he knew how to take care of his playthings, and he took the items he had picked up to return them to the chest he kept near the bed.

It was now that he realized there were still garments belonging to his companion strung about, so he could not have departed yet. He rose, and went to the sitting area hoping to find him. Find him, he did, examining the contents of a chest he kept there -- mostly stored with various things from the Chateau, he assumed, but he'd never looked into it at length. He smiled, not feeling intruded upon but rather charmed by his curiosity.

"Find anything interesting, pet?" he asked.
