Let's Talk
WHO: Morgan Adams, Major Henry West
WHERE: The infirmary.
WHEN: Evening, after dinner.
WHAT: Morgan has given West's punishment some further thought.
Morgan still felt mildly on edge when she entered the infirmary. Part of her was still primed to fight with West after their earlier discussion, but if he can speak civilly, then so can she. She gives herself credit, though. For the first time in a while she doesn't feel like she's ducking her head. She feels in control, and she doesn't feel angry, or defensive.
She pulls up a stool and props herself atop it, next to his hospital bed. He didn't look like he was in terrible pain, at least. "I've been giving some thought to our discussion earlier, and I'd like to have a civil talk with you about it. Think we can do that?"
