Rose may have cut off the journal communication between her inmate and the Master, but it didn't change that they were the only two inmates currently being housed in level 0. Granted, Charlie had never been a fan of the Timelord, so he wasn't exactly going out of his way to engage him in conversation. Still, there was only so much one could do in an empty jail cell, so the outlaw was beginning to think he'd make an exception.
Even if it was only to insult the other man.
"I reckon I'll be here for a while," He called out, after a long period of silence. "Don't suppose you did anything worth recountin' to wind up here?"
If nothing else, hearing what the Master did might give him something to think about other than what he was going to do when he got out.
